A little about us…
Siena
Hey! My name is Siena and I am 20 years old from Denver, Colorado. I have been passionate about travel for as long as I can remember. I was 9 when I first travelled out of the country with my family. My brother, parents and I rented a red Volkswagen campervan where we spent the next 6 weeks traveling through France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. This was the first time I learned to speak new languages, try new foods, and experience lifestyles and cultures completely different from my own. I fell in love with the concept of travel and new from then on it needed to be a big part of my life.
When I graduated high school, I wanted to take a gap year and travel so some places I had been dreaming about for years before going back to school. Spoiler alert. I didn’t go back. Well not in the traditional sense at least. During this 7 month journey, I got to travel through Spain, France, Denmark, Norway, England, volunteer in Costa Rica, travel in Ecuador and the Galapagos, learn French in Paris, and intern in Stockholm. I met Mary the very first day of this trip, and I knew we’d be friends for a long time. I started getting more and more into photography on this trip, and about a year later, I spent 6 months in Galway, Ireland learning about digital media and film. Now I hope to pursue my passion of film-making and photography full time while creating a magazine for fellow travelers and creatives to share stories from their adventures around the world.
Mary
Hi guys! I’m Mary, and I’m 20 years old, originally from Georgia in the United States. My love for travel started when I was 14. I did a two-week hiking trip in Iceland with complete strangers and we all ended up writing letters to each other and sobbing on the plane going home because we didn’t want to leave each other. Those moments stayed with me all throughout high school, and I realized I felt a calling towards the life of adventure ever since.
After high school, I took a gap year, and I traveled to 10 countries, some of which were Ecuador, Morocco, the Netherlands, Spain, and Austria. 6 months later, I went back to Spain and lived there for a semester and continued to explore Europe!
Overall, I hope these stories remind you to let your inner light guide you, even if it leads you down an unconventional path full of unknowns. I can promise you, it’ll never leave you astray. <3
